Born in Boischatel, a Québec City suburb, in 1975, Mélanie Simard has been devoted to learning different artistic techniques since she was 9 years old. However, for the last few years, acrylic has played a major role among her creations.
Mélan designs vases and flowers whose curved, interlaced or straight forms evoke a symbolic, lively and comforting language. And what about her choice of vivid colors representing her characters, men, women or children to whom she gives voice. It’s up to you to decode the message to which you can relate… Movement and rythm are part of each of her works. Her still life paintings represent various subjects which, one day, will take other forms. The technique used is in constant betterment, but you will always recognize the stamp of this artist at her peak.
